Walter & Sonja Birnbaumer

Walter Birnbaumer has been blessed with a great deal of love for dogs. Due to being so drawn to dogs, in 1976 he turned his hobby into a career by creating the dog kennel in Kranebitten. Although a dog favours to be alongside his owner – a dog kennel is an enormously important establishment. Nowadays an increasing number of people own dogs and for whatever circumstance when a dog needs accommodation, the family Birnbaumer are glad the dog has been brought into their loving care and not thoughtlessly delivered elsewhere. The past 30 years have indeed brought a lot of social change, but it remains today as it was back then, a fulfilling role. The married couple Birnbaumer enjoy being and living with the dogs now more than ever. What has also not changed is our guiding principle: Every dog owner should be able to provide decent housing for his dog so that man's best friend does not get into a predicament of being disregarded.

Elsa

As the daughter of the house, Elsa has inherited the same sense of passion for dogs. It is a dream for many young girls to grow up living with dogs around the clock. Dogs have been Elsa’s everyday life, since childhood she has helped with the family business and learned the expressive behaviour of the dogs. Like her parents, Elsa loves to care for dogs - they are also not humanised by her because dogs have their own temperament, allowing them to live and express themselves. Responding to the customer is very important to Elsa, as well as caring for dogs, she increasingly focuses on customer service and reservation.

Barbara

The second daughter of the family Birnbaumer lives in America.

Tanja

For the last 10 years, Tanya has been involved in the team as an employee and long since become indispensable. She has a great love of animals and enjoys working with people. Tanja is just as enthusiastic today as she was when she first joined us. All her knowledge comes from the “Big Boss”, who sees a dog and at first sight immediately correctly assesses. Tanja also has vast experience with stray animals which reinforced in her the desire to work with animals. Here in the kennel, where the dogs are safe and return after their stay in a caring family. Tanya has completed the training program for welfare and law keepers and is constantly developing new knowledge by reading dog literature.
